As lifestyle/hormonal risk factors are associated with the target (index or subject of the risk calculation), it is not

It is possible to change the

target on-the-fly.

To do this, you need to use the 'Reset' button to clear your existing pedigree, and then rebuild it with a different target. When you press the 'Reset' button, this will clear your existing risk factors and pedigree. As a result, before doing so, we advise that you save your existing pedigree with the current target (using the 'Save Input' button) to a CanRisk Format Pedigree File, so that you do not lose your data.  

The issue of changing the target and maintaining the pedigree information will be addressed in future versions of the CanRisk Tool

proband. Before you switch it is recommended that you save the current pedigree data and risk factors (use the "Save" button at the top of the tool). In the “Family History” section you can select the new proband by clicking on them in the pedigree graphic. Ensure the new proband has been given an age and year of birth in the “Individual’s Details” panel. Then you can click “Proband". A warning dialog will popup to ensure you have saved the current risk factors and pedigree. If you select “Continue” the pedigree will be updated and you will need to complete the risk factor sections for the new proband.
