What is the best approach in cases of Risk-Reducing Salpingo-Oophorectomy (RRSO)?
What is the best approach in cases of Risk-Reducing Salpingo-Oophorectomy (RRSO)?

RRSO is known to influence the risk of breast cancer, but the association between RSSO and breast cancer risk is not currently modelled explicitly in the Canrisk models. If the index is indicated in the CanRisk tool to have had RSSO, then just the breast cancer risks are calculated and not the ovarian cancer risks.
When calculating ovarian cancer risks, in cases where a family member has had RSSO, it is best to censor at the age of surgery.
